Explore play - today!
I updated my trip journal with more pics - have a look! Here is one of my favorite quotes from one of my daughter's Dr. Suess books - Oh The Places You'll Go!
"Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So get on your way!"- Dr. Suess
I absolutely love that Dr. Seuss book. I read it recently with a wee friend of mine and found that though she became disinterested, as three-year olds do, I was just ravenous for the next page.
Explore the world, regardless of it's sillyness and chaos - it's fun and adventurous.
It is amazing how Dr. Seuss works on so many levels. I think I now know more adults who love his work more than children. On the topic of childrens literature and "play", what are your thoughts on the Harry Potter and its utter phenomenon/world fascination?
Interesting idea J - play & children's literature! I may have to do some commenting on that one...
I've just seen the Harry Potter movies so i couldn't make a good judgement call on the books themselves. I love it when authors explore new worlds - that is play in itself. I'm really looking forward to the Narnia movie series - honestly I think from a movie standpoint it should be better from a creative standpoint than HP... check out apple.com's trailer page for a link...
I actually had the opportunity to see the Narina trailer before watching Star Wars. At first, I had no clue what it was! But I agree, it does look great. I also have not read any of the HP books nor seen the movies. I will one day....only after I figure out what's stopping me in the first place :)
