Hey Christopher - your assumptions were correct! 1 & 2 - you know me well! I'm not sure about the cushy part - heh heh!
The cool thing about having kids is that you get to relive childhood by taking the sled to the top of the hill and do crazy things for a camera!
The funniest thing about it all is that Grandpa (my dad) helped me modify that GT and construct the sled run from their cottage deck down to the lake. And yes gramps has taken the sled for a spin as well!
Thanks for your comments (as always) and definitely get to work on at least a photoblog for your family!
BTW - I'll be missing my girls and wife for a week as I take 42 college students to inner-city Winnipeg for some exposure to a variety of volunteering opportunities at soup kitchens, drop-in centres, and other urban ministries. It is usually a great time of learning about culture, different economic situations, and hopefully developing a better understanding of urban poverty.
Three comments. 1. That GT was and is awesome. It is the little things and the moments like these that give our children the best memories. 2. Your girls are just gorgeous and we can see why you find it difficult to leave them behind when you teach and travel. 3.I appreciate your respect for the aging - it is high time that the church and families in general realize the strengths of multiple-generations instead of just staying youth like the world does. I personally have never fit into any "generation" because 1. I had parents with plenty of life experience when I was born 2.I was also raised by 5 siblings 8-18 years older than I. 3. Had nieces and nephews when I was very young. I have no idea what "age" I am supposed to be post-modern, boomer, buster etc. The only people that really drive me crazy are those who try to constantly fit me into one box, or age or area of giftedness. SET ME FREE TO BE ME! Keep writing Garth - it is good for the soul.
